I'll start by saying that I got this quad on a trade will another board member. All engine work was already done.Just needed some spucing up.I tore it down to the frame, painted and cleaned everythiing that I could.I added a 400ex front end(home built shock relocator),fmf exhaust, tusk nerfs, eliminated the headlight ,cut the front fenders and replaced the bars.I still need to replace the front bumper and get a rear skid plate plus a few other minor things.heres some pics.

i am thinking you should get a bumper with some snap! perhaps a Bling Star Iron Man, or an IMS Intimidator? heres a pic of my buddys 400ex! very nice quad man!

the seat cover is a ceet gripper cover.I like the feel of it just wish it wasn't red.I have been looking at the IMS bumpers, really like the looks of them just can't find anyone that has them for the 300ex.I might have to get one for a 400ex and shim it.It wasn't hard to make the relocator(i have a mig welder)just bought some 1/4 bar stock, hacksaw and a 3/8" drill bit.It took the longest to figure out the measurements that I needed.I was also thinking about the mair 250r hood so I could still use my headlight.Someone else posted a pic of one on a 300ex and it looked pretty cool.

Looks good. Let us know how the paint holds up. I used some " High temp" paint on my heat shield and it was practically melted off. :ermm:

did you read the directions on the can,, you hae to paint it with lots of really light coats, one coat shouldnt really even cover the whole thing your painting it should be more like a speckal coating. after you do lat least 10 coats like that your suposed to bake it. if you do it like that it will never come up, ohh and you need the 1200 degree paint it works alot better than the 1000

( Wasn't the proper temp. paint)? After it became hot I could touch it and the paint would coime off. Doesn't matter any longer though, I no longer have it on.

I know they bend,I rolled my 05' two weekends ago(busted up my shoulder and ribs pretty good),had the same bars on and bent them up pretty good. But for $15 thier cheap enough to replace.I will take bending my bars over my steering stem any day.
