Comparing the 06 yfz450 and the trx450r which would win in a stock for stock drag?

In the March issue of Dirt Wheels, if you go by the numbers the 450r puts out like 2extra HP! buy honestly, the way the power band is on both those machines, the deciding factor will come down to the rider!! thats in a drag though!


According to DW, around a track the YFZ is much more stable because of its front end geometry! but if you slap some aftermarket arms on the 450r, it will be better than a YFZ!

Both those machines are so damn good, it really will come down to the rider every time!!!

Woooooaaaah, you think that a 450R with +2 aftermarket a-arms would be more stable than a YFZ with stock a-arms... I would have never thought...:rolleyes:





and why do you care which one is faster in a straight line, they were made for mx, buy a banshee or something if you want to ride fast in a straight line. :huh:

why does it matter- the blaster smokes everything. if you really want a fast quad, dont look any futher than the blaster- it blows the 450s away. you just cant match the power of the 200cc 2 stroke engine. :devil:

2 strokes are a thing of the past!!!!! I have a 300 ex built by 4 stroke tech that will smoke any blaster. You say a blaster vs. a 450r thats funny!!!!!:) :)

I was reading a shoot out the other day that they had a scoring system and the YFZ scored higher in EVERYTHING except in the motor department. but everything else said the YFZ was better. I can't remember where I read it I will look for it though.

Here is some real life expeience with my 05 yfz against an 06 450r. I have not put mine on the dyno yet, but I pretty sure it will be impressive as I beat out 99% of the people I race, no matter what their mods are, even alcohol (I just got a strong quad). I only have no airbox lid, full yoshi pipe, and k&n filter. I raced an 06 450r with nmotion full pipe, no airbox, k&n, and I beat him really bad, like 6 bikes. I don't see how the 06 450r will be beating the 06 yfz's. Rider skill does have a lot to do with it too, but put he same rider on each quad, and I'm sure the yfz will be quicker.

Just kiddng, I don't mean to start the YFZ is better than the 450r, they are both GREAT quads and can beat anything else out there. The rider does have the most to do with it.
