well I have mine basically stock with some motor work and I LOVE it on the track. Thats all i do now and I am savin up to get more mods done like suspension and stuff. But i went from a 400ex to the 450r and its like night and day on the track. I would highly recommend any year 450r on the track. they are awesome!! If you are plannin on racin it seriously though I would go for a suspension set up and especially a revalve on the rear shock anyway it kicks back up pretty bad. thats my 2 cents!

i made mine longer, wider, and lower and have been dialing it in for about a year or more and now it is very strong on mx. the last piece of the puzzle that i needed to make it perfect was my new holeshot sx tires. they rip. when it was stock it was far from what i wanted but streching it out and a few easy motors mods later it is where i want it.
