well, i was jetting it, cant seem to find a mixture screw, and also there is no clip positions on the needle......so i jjust adjusted the locker nut on the needle jet to pull it down out of the shaft more (basically like moving the needle up right?, in doing that it did put my main down further in the bowl....im also all the way up to a 165 main with a uni filter no-lid and just an hrc baffle .....165 is pretty big if you ask me, but it runs good and plug color is normal, almost lean.....more whitish than grayish

i bought the factory service manual and for the fuel screw its a special tool. its on the bottom but no a average flat or phhillips head. i was goign to ask the same thing since i have an exhaust on the way.

Should i just leave it in place and just adjust jets and hope for the best??

i have no idea why they did this in 05....the fuel screw or the needle. if you want a previous need it was a keihin B44A (1999-2004 models). it has 5 clip positions. someone told they they dremeled a slot in the stock fuel screw on the 05's so they could turn it with a flat blade. i don't know if that works but someone told me they did that.

ya i see that flat bladed type of screw, looked more like a plug to me so i didnt mess with it, my needle has no clip positions, but i am able to move the needle jet up and down, is this possible on pre-05 carbs do u know?

ya i seem to have jetted ok right now, although i think the stock setting for me anyways is kind of lean since i need a 165 main to keep my plug color accurate

if you buy a dynojet kit,it comes with a 5 adjustment needle and the driver for the new fuel screws.
