Pipe flows great and is legal for the riding I do. Whats wrong with the tires??? They are Klaw 6 plys. I don't race MX I do wide open desert racing 70 - 100mph at long intervals and need a strong durable tire. Razr's are nice and so are holeshots but a more of a name then anything IMO. I'm sure that tire preferences is a huge opinion on here but I can't affort the Raz'r or Holeshots when I need to have 3-4 sets on hand for each race and all equiped with beadlocks or reinforcing rings.

i have a quick question for you man, why'd you remove the nerf bars, i would prefer to have em on there, or is it just a desert thing not have em???? looks sweet and i wish i could put the time and effort into my bike like you have :muscle:
Thank You,

nice quad but the one thingi dont like about is the way you have the radiator hose running over the header pipe.looks like it is touching the exhaust.all you are doing is reheating the cool coolant with the hose run like that.should try to run it under the exhaust somehow.but nice job

How did the motor fit up in that frame? How much modding to the frame did you have to do? Looks good:D

The hose is not touching the header pipe. As of right now I am working on a new header pipe so that I can have a straight shot into the radiator. AMerican dream used to have a waterpump cover that came out at a 90* angle but they are no longer. This IS the best way to be able to rout it for right now without kinking the hose.

Yes it is more of a desert thing... with the nerfs on, larger rocks (softball size) tend to fly up and get stuck in the nets. Since I wear Asterisk knee braces and a full set of boots the rocks don't do much damage to the feet or legs.

Ck with some of the NAPA auto parts shops,They carry some premolded 3/4 hoses that will run ya under the header.
Good luck!

I was wondering why you aren't running a head stay mount on your cylinder head. Who did the frame? They should have put tabs on the upper rails so you can put the bike mounts there so you can fasten your head in with a bolt. But nice quad.

did you have to cut anything to get that radiator in there? or make new mounts?

Mounts were fabbed up top and bottom. Once I added the larger tank, I had to fab new mounts again to clear the tank.

Aaron, the new front end works great, I miss the old one when I'm going through the tight stuff. Overall though most of my riding is at higher speeds through the desert so it really feels great.

I dont know who originally built the frame as the conversion was already done when I bought it. It has 3 mounting points on the lower end and I plan on fabbing up a set of upper mounts soon. I have already had to TIG in several gussets as the frame has weak spots that needed some reinforcing.

contact east coast atv they have the water pump cover you need. also you have to get a headstay for that motor or you really risk breaking the frame a lot easier from what i hear

were did you get that gas tank it looks like the ones that the Z400 owner would buy it hold gas in the side panels right?

Tank is a Clarke 5.5 gallon unit, ordered off of e-bay. I also just ordered the new waterpump cover from Eastcoast ATV to route under the header.
Quad also just entered in the Quad of the month contest, may the best quad win!!!!
