Hi i live in the UK and over here quad parts are even more ridiculosly priced that with you lot, about $700-$800 for a set of wide A-arms for a YFZ.

So ive been thinking that there cant me that much to it, four bits of bent pipe hey :D

Do you know of any others that have made a-arms them selves?

I was planning on getting a friend who's workshop and skills are far beyond mine to make them, what diameter pipe is commonly used and what thickness?

Anywhere i could find plans or similar of arms?

The only suggestion I have is to copy another pair straight up, maybe a little mod or 2, but just find someone willing to let you borrow theirs for measurements.

I have seen this on one of the UK sites and i think i am going to try and get another set of stock arms and extened them. This fella made a proper tidy job of it and if done properley im sure they will be atleast as strong as the stock arms.

There was a thread about this before. Yea just find somebody who will let you borrow their set to get measurements from. Once I move I'll take a stab at it, cuz I'll have a TIG welder on hand, and a lathe if there are any little things I wanna make for em.

I know a guy that made his own extended +3 arms for his banshee. They worked fine. I don't know the details about them though.

what u should do is cut your stock a-arms in half and add some steal tube pipe to extend the a-arms. that would b the easiest thing to do.
