Pappy i have a 2004 yfz 460 with 12:1 compression hot cams sg.2 cams. I have been having trouble with the battery not holding charge and am having to constantly either re-charge it or get a pull start on the trails (won't keep a charge). What DROP-IN replacement battery would you recommend? And how much would it cost shipped to 51501?

the factory battery is the only drop in, all others require battery tray and holder mods.

have you updated the rectifier?

No, it still has the factory rectifier, it was running with the head light removed but they were put back in because of the problems.
What would your recommendation be for a solution? Update the rectifier or replace the battery, or both?

id start with teh rectifier, and charge up the old battery and ofcourse test it. then you can upgrade based on your findings.
