Now that I have my machine I am starting to race harescrambles. I'm not so sure about a big bore kit but if i get cash from my blaster its something I may consider. I will probably be in a class with other modded 400ex's and slightly modded 450rs. I just want to have fun I really dont need to win, if I wanted to win I would have waited for the r450. But what bigbore would you recommend for harescramble racing (if any)? Please give links and/or prices if you can.
Thanks!! :D

would definitly go for the 416 bore with 11:1 comp. a good cam and some porting on the head along with a pipe and you will have a very quick 400ex. Also just leaving standard bore and bumping up to a 11:1 comp piston and a pipe and cam is a good upgrade for harescrambles/woods riding that doesn't cost quite as much

Im not exactly in Pittsburgh im in the North Hills area in McKnight. Im going to race up in slippery rock.
Yeah I was thinking about a 416 kit, but I have time. Thanks!
A good torquey motor is what you want. Build it for low to midrange power and reliable...
Invest in some good shocks before the big bore kit.
SR Dunes is 10 minutes from my house.. PM me when u wanna ride

if you want a torque motor, buy my tc racing 76mm bottom end. Its a +40cc stroker. Using the stock cyl setup it will be a 440, on a 425 bore its a 465, torque MONSTER.
PM me if interested.

As for motor mods the 416 set up is definatley the way to go:muscle: But personally I would spend my money on suspension.
