Well I have been racing r/c ars for about 5 years now. We race on saturdays in a warehouse on a carpet track. For any of you who know about these I run the 19turn motor 1/12th scale class.
I'll post up some video sometime.

that looks pretty sweet. I have a traxxas stampede that has a 16 turn double motor that rips, but my speed controller cought on fire and doesnt work anymore. Hint Hint: -never buy duratrax speed controllers, mine was suposed to handle down to 12 turn modified motors, and I had a 16, and it died:ermm: Now it just sits on the shelf. I also have an old blackfoot. My brother has a modified rustler. and an oldschool blackfoot. He also has a costum chassis clod buster. My dad has a big boss. You can tell we really used to be into these things:cool:

Fun as he\\ too. The racing is 3 qualifying heats and a main, c- main = not the fastest guys, b-average, and A- fast drivers. I made the A main last weekend, it was only the second weekend i had driven the car(used to run 1/10th scale sedan). I was the only kid against seven grown men, lol. Its amazing how much tweaking and suspension changes you have to make to make thes things fast. You get a 10 driver main and you see some crazy arse wrecks:macho .

what brand is it? I race touring, offroad mod truck and buggy and 1/8 4wheel drive gas. My local track shut down about 2 months ago so I also lost my job. I'm keeping all my stuff and helping to look for a new place to race.

Its a team associated L4. Yea it can be a money pit if you let it by buying all the best stuff. With 1/12th scale cars you may be able to do things cheaper, atleast for me it has been. I'm 16 so i still do it with my dad. Its like playing with cars, just scaled down and cheaper, and once you get competative it becomes really really fun.

i wish I had all the money back I spent on R/C from a couple years back. I raced 1/8 offroad for years and those are serious money pits-$350 for motors that last 1/3 a year and 60 bucks for a full set a tires that last a day at a big race. Not to mention $600 for the car and $250 for servos. I think I spend less now at the honda shop!

Gas is more expensive than electric I think. Still fun though.

they can be money pit's but there fun as hell when there runnin(which mine dont half the time:( :o ). anyways i have a team associated nitro tc3 and can only say good things about it. every time somethin has happened it's been my fault and not the car being faulty on me. all i ever do is change the plugs and it keeps on runnin and runnin. the only money i spend on is gas and glow plugs. thats a bad electric car you got there 300exr. is that carpet racing any fun? i want to get an electric one day and try it out.

Nice revo. I am a MT fan myself... but I do a little of everything. Occasional racing for fun, mostly bashing. I use a Mammoth on the track and I have a Savage LE and 4.6, and a Madforce otherwise. Then I have a bunch of non-MT nitro and electrics, but they see little of my time. For anyone looking at thinking about getting one though, I wouldn't recommend it. These things are fun... but are a pain in the butt! I love nitros, I hate working on something every time I run it. Surprisingly enough, my Mammy is the only one I NEVER have problems with. I love that truck!

Yea, its true that some nitros are a pain, but electrics arent. If you find a decent indoor track its pretty fun.
