Have any of yall heard about these new hybrid pickups that
GM is coming out with? what is your opinion on these pickups?
I perfer to have somthing a little less complicated to work on,
like my 78 F150 4x4

heard of them, dont care for em. there is some much electronic bullcrap on them that they will be even more expensive and harder to modify. supposedly you cannot even add larger tires to them because it is so computer controlled teh electronic portion of the drivetrain will not operate correctly.. let alone lifting them and so on.

they had a version out last year... my friend owns one...

everything between our trucks is identcal pretty much except his is the hybrid (electric motor drives it up to like 25mph or something) and i get 17 - 18mpg around town... he gets 21 - 23mpg around town...


its just like a civic or something... the only thing is that mine was 22,000 or so his was 31,000

I'll pass on the electric/gas hybrid crap.

If you want better power and great gas mileage diesel is the way to go.

Pickup trucks (large heavy duty versions) can get around 18-20mpg with turbo diesels. Small cars, VW Golfs with a turbo diesel gets around 45-50mpg.

Why mess with hybrid crap.... more to go wrong and wear out.

It's a good way to make money because soccer moms and idiots dont know any better and think if they say it works it does. :p
