pipe glow

I have aftermarket EVO full pipe on my 450r and while riding at night it gets red at the bend in the head pipe is this normal

Glowing exhaust is normal? since when :huh

Some times a larger manifold can glow due to the thinner metal or being ti. I have an hrc manifold and it will glow. Mainly when I am sitting idleing. And that is adjusted a little on the fat side. If it glows while riding though, I might look at jetting again.

Mine gets red when I am idling too but once I am moving it doesn't seem to do it and my jetting is perfect!

All the bikes I've had they've never glowed idling or on the roll?:confused: :ermm:

yeah i ride all summer and mine never glows when i'm riding or at an idle..now this winter i ride at an indoor track and it is cold in there and it glows at an idle..

My 06 hrc head pipe is blue/gold at the bend but I didnt notice it "glowing"

maybe summins wrong.... poor lubrication=more heat???

Started my 06 for the first time then went in the house to get my helmet came out pipe was red hot. It was cold out CANADA. put a 45 pilot in and has never happened since. :D

London area.. I ride at gopher dunes alot.Sand and trails,mud sometimes. Looking forward to it this year,first quad,had 03 CRF 450 be for this quad.
