Do some research. There's a ton of threads about this. The best fix is to buy a Honda throttle assembly. I think the 06 YFZ throttle is alittle easier.

my 200x has a real tough thumb throttle, I tried a 86/87 200x, 86 350x, 250r, 400ex, 30eex thumb throttle, nothing solved it, a twist throttle solved the problem. you might be able to get a a easier spring in the carb, but that also can cause your carb to stick open, not a good thing.

On the yfz, the softer spring is fine with the stock throttle. If it sticks wide open the tors will shut it down.

But if you use a honda throttle you lose that.

That being said, I use both the easy spring and the honda throttle. If it sticks i'll just pull the clutch in and and pull the kill cord.

With the honda throttle and the stock spring it was a lot sitffer then my 400 was with with the same throttle and my old fcr.
