me and a friend are having a debate. can somebody please answer these questions for me

1. do you need a passport to get to canada, if no what would suffice?

2. is prostitution legal in canada. he says it is i say its not.....

3. anyone one goin to toronto friday night i will prob be there if #1 is no lol

No hookers are aloud, but they are very common. You might be able to slip pass with out a pass port if you have a couple ids, if you look like a punk or something mabe not. Seems like you have some big plans, wrap it up:eek2:

1. Current Requirements for Entry Into Canada

Visas are not required for U.S. citizens entering Canada from the U.S. You will, however, need:

Proof of your U.S. citizenship such as your U.S. passport (For information on obtaining a U.S. passport, check with one of the regional passport agencies located throughout the U.S.) or certified copy of your birth certificate issued by the city, county or state in the U.S. where you were born. If you are a naturalized U.S. citizen and do not have a passport, you should travel with your naturalization certificate. A driver’s license, voter’s registration card or Social Security card is NOT valid proof of citizenship.
Photo identification, such as a current, valid driver’s license.

A passport will only be required effective December 31, 2006 by air or sea transportation. December 31, 2007 by land


2. No prostitutes aren't legal. lol.. but there are plenty roaming.. if you're going to a night club if he works his charm I'm sure he can end up with a little something.

However, if I were you I may want to reconsider Toronto.. lots of shooting in the clubs now and stuff.. may I suggest London or Windsor instead..

No you do not need a passport . Birth certificate , driver's license or any kind of photo I.D is sufficient . In the near future , if you are travelling by land you're going to need a Pass Card . If you're flying in or comming by water , you'll need a Passport when they start this new law .

Prostitution is NOT legal ... but I'm sure you can walk down Young street or Bloor street and find yourself one for $100 .... I'd suggest you keep your $100 though ... never know if she is really a he .

Toronto is an alright place to be .. but like some of the others have said ... there's been a LOT of shooting lately especially outside of the bars . Innocent people getting caught in the crossfire of gangs .

Windsor/Sarnia is a good place to go . Lots of Americans cross over the border to come and drink .

I've partied it up in the Ottawa/Gatineau/Hull area . We stayed in Ottawa and jumped the bridge into Quebec to go drink cuz we were only 18 at the time. There are some really awesome clubs in the area .

If you're set on going to Toronto , the place to be is at the Guvernment . http://www.theguvernment.com/ . Be there early cuz it's always packed with long lineups and crazy cover charges . There's some pretty good clubs/bars down near the Docks . Stay away from the North Etibicoke areas of T.O . Too much turf war going on .

Oh ya , and in case you didn't know ... Legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 ... Quebec is 18 ... and all the clubs check I.D .

If you go to the Guvernment , there are dress codes that you need to follow . All the info is on their website and you can even put your name on a list to get in faster . I'd recommend doing it .

The last couple pictures are of the crowds you can expect on a Saturday night . Let me warn you , you're going to see things you've probably never seen before if you go there . 3/4 of the people are high on something ... most of it being Ecstacy . At 2:30 when the bar closes , they start serving water and popcicles to everyone and it's open till 8am . Gotta let the e-heads cool and calm down . It's an awesome place to go though even if your sobber . :devil:
