New fishing reel........

Well, I'm in the market for a new baitcaster. Been looking around at some, but I don't want to spend more than $100 on one. What do you have, and what do you like about it??

i have a quantam (sp) spinning reel from back in the day when i used to fish, havent used it in about 3 years but it was it really nice when i did:p

been looking at the Quantum's. they seem real nice, and not completely overpriced!!

I got a St. Croix avid rod with a shimano chronarch baitcaster reel. That setup costed around 300 bucks, but you pay for what you get sometimes....

the chronarch's are nice, but i can't justify spending $250 on a reel, and then another $100 for the rod. however, my boss has a st. croix rod, and he said it makes all the difference in the world!! we are going to be doing some striper fishing this spring so i hope he lets me try it out. i may be coaxed in to buying a high dollar set up!!
