Who has successfully disected a laegers t-pin spindal and can tell me how to do it? Laegers wants 600.00 to rebuild them and they won't tell me how to take them apart. Thanks

The whole point is that I'm not going to pay laeger to do it I just want someone to tell me how they come apart, so I can do it myself, but thanks for you opinion?

500 $$ juste to rebuild a spindle WTF!!! like someone said earlier... no wonder why we dont see T-pins setups in the US/canada like we used to.

Looks like they are selling a lot of them tho in Europe.

Thats incredible , paying so much for a front-end , and then the company is trying to screw you after you gave them so much money.:huh

Ok boys and girls for those of you who are paying attention, or care. I have got the spindal apart finally ! No thanks to anyone really, every thing everyone told me was incorrect, but I thank them for trying. (thanks for nothing laeger) Here are some pics of the spindal virtually bare just need to finish pressing out the bearings!

Here is the primary problem the hub shaft(shown) not only spins inside the spindal but wobbles, so basically at this point if I were to send it to laeger they would tell me to buy a new set of 1000.00 dollar spindals, that would eventually do the same thing over time. The person who had this before obviously neglected it. Well its time for a face lift. And I'm going to give all of you an update as this spindals is built up, and put back to better then new! The biggest problem with this design is that there is a hardened steel shaft inside an aluminum spindal? So whats going to wear first? Well obviously the most expensive part! The T-pin is a fantastic front end but isn't worth a **** like this. So anyone out there who has a sloppy t-pin pay attention! More to come soon!

wow, I was considering the t-pin for my next front end! The hell with it now!

If you can get a good deal on one and you know its in good condition, which requires very a good inspection I'd do it, or buy new. Laeger says the spindals them selves should last ten years? If they are new. But personally if your going to spend that kind of money on a front end buy walsh!

it looks like the bushing just press out from the inside simlilar to a bearing carrier, and is there a bushing for the shaft?

I'd look at boring it out and installing a steel insert (much like an aluminum hub has) for the steel shaft to press into? That's my first though.

That is exactly what I'm going to do. There also an aluminum bushing that presses on to the outside that the hub seal rides on we're going to bore it out and make it all one piece, out of steel as you were thinking.

Looks good so far, the T-pin is my dream front end. Is that primer all over it?

I can't wait to get goin on it. I have everything to build it except the rear swingarm, but its on its way. Just have to start powdercoating everything. Its not primer its fresh from the sandblaster!

Here are some pics of the finished spindals, they turned out great. we bored into the spindal, not all the way through because you would lose support for the hub shaft. Then added that depth to the depth of what is supposed to be a pressed on ring that alligns the hub and, allows the seal so seat up. All of this as one piece was pressed in to the spindal, and here is the out come! Just have to install the new spherical bearings for the monoballs and It will be finished, (all of this work including the custom machining and the price of the new spherical bearings was under 300.00 dollars which isn't bad at all.
