I have an 88 250r with +2 a-arms and was thinking of buying a steering stabilizer this winter. Just wanted some feed back and opinions and brand preference?

Definately worth it if you're riding in rough conditions. I bought one when I started racing hare scrambles, and it made a big difference for me.

I've used the Denton & SRP, and they both started leaking oil rather quickly I thought (within several months of use). Denton, SRP & Gibson are all the same, as well as some others I'm sure.

The high end versions are the way to go if you've got the money.

Yes, I hate to ride anything now without a stabilizer. I run a GPR and love it.

They are good but get a non-rebuildable. They last a lot longer then the rebuildable ones and they work a bit better.

If you damage the cylinder , you can get another one for about 5-60 bucks.

they are well worth the money, if you decide to get one i would give precision a call, they have the best stabilizer for ATV's on the market right now and can tell you everything you need to know

i couldnt control my 300ex at race speeds until I got one. I have a Denton rebuildable and it has over 5 rides and is still as good as the day i got it.

The one i was thinking about was the rebuilable pep, I couldn't find precision anywhere? I don't race just ride rough trails. that gpr isn't that thing like 300 bucks? any feedback from someone who has a pep would be great

most stick style stabilizers work about the same. It comes down to adjustment and if it is rebuildable or not. A PEP has 3 click adj, i think and a Denton has 7.

I've had the pep on my 400ex and it was better overall in handling but it did make turning harder. could have been the pep? I rode one with a Gibson with more flexability and you could set it loose and it still soaked up the bump steer. I also feel that once you get one you will always have one.

i rode all last season with a denton stabilzer on my predator, i bought a 05 450r for this season and i have a WER on it....it's a niht and day diference, the stick style have resistance throughout the motion, but the rotarys will give less dampening as you further turn to help with shoulder and arm fatigue....and it seems that the WER really helps bring the bars back to center and hold them there!

the precision is $495, but by far THE BEST thing you can ever buy, you get what you pay for, is how the saying goes

I have PEP and its awsome i've tried someothers on different quads but the PEP really does work good for the money. of course there are some really good ones if you have the cash. I'll stick with PEP.
