Money Money Money.. Jobs!!!! Help

Ok guys,

This is my problem. I am 13 years old and live in Staten Island NY. I really an im need of a job so i can get my bike ready for mx. I am too young to get a job at a store or w/e cuz im too young. I can't cut lawns because everyone has a gardner. Im good at opening pools at the begining of the summer, and cleaning them and so on. <<--- thats 1 of my ideas, but thats too far away. I'm also really good with computers. Should i put a add in the newspaper for fixing computers? I really dont know what to do.. hope someone can give me some advice.......
and NO i CANNOT take my lunch money, because i dont get anny because my school doesent sell lunch or anyting cuz its GAY.. (lol)................

See if a contractor is willing to pay you to work for them, like plumbing or carpentry or something. I had my first job at 13 for my dad.

Paper boy? Shovel snow (if you have any there?), dog walker?

Ask your family, ask them to ask their friends if there is stuff you can do for them. I use to do odd job's for my parents friends and my friends parents, it's all worth a shot.

Are you going to be actually racing? If I were you I would make sure they aerent AMA races. If they are you have 3 years so save up and finish the yfz.

If you plan on racing an AMA race....then you have to wait 3 years to race your YFZ because you aren too young as of now...so I suppose you can wait and save for 3 years...

Just to clear thing up only half the population here sells or uses drugs....the other half is clean:D . Also the problem here is you can't get your work permit until your 14. The only thing I can think of for you to do is go to a local family owned store or something, not one of the bigger stores and see if you can help on the side or something.I was a dock boy over the summer and was working 40 hours a week and I'm 15. There are jobs out there you just have to find someone that needs some help on the side.

if you live out in the country, do some baleing for people that bale straw, and hay and such like that. I do that every summer, and make like 500 bucks in a month, which aint bad. Some days i put in a good 10 hours, but its worth it. It gives ya a great workout, and its like your gettin paid to workout. Otherwise if you live out in the country, raise some animals. I raise hogs, and a couple steers, and make some good money, but my dad pays for feed, bedding, etc. All i have to do it buy them.

go to a garage and see if they'll give ya a few bucks to clean up the shop and be a gopher for tools and give a hand. i gaurentee a small, private garage around will be happy to do that. you might learn somethin too

when it starts getting warmer out (or unless u have a place like a garage to work inside now) you could detail cars.... was/wax/shampoo carpets/ armoral (sp?) / clean and degrease engine compartments etc. start you own business... i did at that age. did it all the way through high school. do it for ur parents friends. then before u know it u'll have repeat customers. i was so swamped with it, i was turning people done ... word of mouth travels quick. i was getting $60 a vehicle and it took me about 4 hours. 4 hours of hard work. u hafta be a prefectionist. u might be able to charge more in the city. its good money. ask me if u want to know more. u have my AIM s/n.

The AMA rules are really ****ing me, because I could own most of the A class, but I can't race. I just have to stick to just bikes for 1 more year:ermm:

i videotape the girls basketball games in the winter for 20 bucks a game...not bad for 26 games and gettin to travel on the bus w/ all the girls...and in the summer im working with a guy in the neighborhood who is starting a demolition business...you just gotta ask around, tell people your a hard worker, but you gotta back it up...im 15 but where im from people dont have like gardneres and such so i cut grass for money when i was younger but now i can do a little more....goodluck w/ your search......

dude-- here's some advice. enjoy being young while you are. dont worry about working and having money. that comes sooner than you think. im 17, i work full time installing custom kitchens in higher-end homes. im finishing school in my spare time.

trust me, enjoy being young while you are...it's all downhill from there
