how to tell you parents you want to get a new quad.

well, when i got my 400, i kept begging for it, and did alot of work around the farm/house. But if you live in the city, help out your parents alot, and show them your worthy for the quad.

This one worked for me twice,lol....> 'Ummm mom do you think i can get a new quad,the thing is,i am a couple hundred short,so when i get the money ill pay you back,but the thing is alot of other people are interested in it,so i have to let the guy know ASAP!

Make an effort of making the money by selling stock parts from the quad or another quad you might have, then they will see your really want it and are willing to work for it, isold my roller-blaster and was only $200 short for the 110, and my dad let me borrow it:D

I saved up all summer, and kept an eye out for my baby! So the only thing I needed my mom for was driving me to get it, and we took some stuff to my bro in the process so it was all good.

Don't bother covering it, the day I got my 400ex it snowed for the whole 3 hour drive home...

Well, i had to beg to get my 300ex, and then I went for vacation at the beach (total party week man.. it was INSANE!!) and when I came back.. My dad had a 05 450r sittin in the back of the truck and I walked inside with my luggage and he was like.. put that shiit down, and handed me the keys. Then I went riding :cool:

i didnt even have to ask for my 450r, my dad just came home one day and was like "Sanderson Powersports just got in a 450r, we are going to look at it tonight." we got there, looked at it, he said, "do you want it?" - you know what my answer was- and then on the ride home he says "your mom is going to kill me". It was $6700 and I had to pay the $2500 that I just got from selling my sportsman 500

I'm have a hard time reading this chit of a thread. I asked my parents for a dirt bike when I was younger and they pulled this beat to hell yammie out of the garden shed and told me if I could get it to run then I had a dirt bike. They bought it for my much much older brother and he destroyed it and they didn't ever want bikes around again.

So everything i got after that I didnt even bother to ask just saved from having a job.

I really wanted a 400ex and worked my *** off. My parents didnt give me any money. I had a cast on my leg from January to late June and still worked my *** off to get my by the summer. I called up the guy and asked him if he can send pics and it was way nicer than i thought and showed my dad and asked my if I wanted it. It was an awesome week I graduated on that wednesday and got back from my party at like 1am and left to get my 400ex at 6am What an awesome day:D

yeah my first quad took about 7 years of workin saving and begging and finally when i was 14 years old i got a kawi lakota 300. but two months later i sold it causeit wasnt fast enough ... ten months later of working saving and begging i got a kfx400... them i dumped everypennie i had into it trying to make it faster and faster .... and then i have to seel the dam thing cause i had to move to texas ... so back to square one working saving and begging ... itworked for me maby it will work for you!

My dad said if I get staight A's all year. My GPA was around 2.3 Then he will help me pay for it. I had 4000 saved up over the years. Well last year i worked my *** off on school. And it paid off. When that last report card came he was like.. damn why did I make this bet...lol

get a job, get better grades, be respectful (you should anyway), work hard, let them know you want it more than anything else, dump your g/f cause she comes 2nd and she wont' accept that, then make your own quad payments like i do. they can't argue that.

I remember in 9th grade (3 yrs ago) I made this deal with my parents that if I got straight A's all year for all of my grades, i would get a brand new predator 500, so I got straight A's all year and then the last marking period I got a B in English- I was soo angry- but now im kinda glad that I didnt get the Pred 500, i was very happy with my 330R and now my 450R.
