Local racers, how are you local class's structered? i mean do you have pro or expert, A,B,C and youth classes or it is just pro and amature? this goes for all local races, MX, XC, flat track and TT. also do you race in a local series, like the TQRA, or do the northern districts keep results?

the reason im asking is, i think the company i work for is interested in setting up a program for atv local racing. we already have a broad program that has been successfull for the past few years dealing with auto racing. its a free program for the drivers that can win cash and actual products.

one last thing, how hard is it to find the results from your local races on line or the race tracks?

you sign up, and what ever class you race you add results under that option, dosent matter if its a national, or a local just as long as it is considered an event. i thought of just ditching the flattrack, and adding tt and mx togeather since some race both and leaving xc alone. i hate to do that to TT and flattrack condsidering tahts what i grew up racing. it would prob take the top 10 or 12, but allow you to add more then that.

whats your opinions on the class layout, and adding tt to the mx section?

thanks

You will find that MX and XC have different classes. The classes also depend on how many riders show up. What I mean by this is, If not many riders show there will only be 1 4-stroke class. If alot of riders show, split the class into 91-450 and then 451-open.
This can also be done with age grouping for example.
16-24 or 16-29
plus 25
plus 30
plus 40

An important thing to consider is the number of people you expect to show up. For a local atv series in its first year, filling up 8+ classes in MX alone might be difficult. This all depends on the population of the area and how well the series is advertised though.

My local MX series, CMRC Southwestern Ontario ATV, goes like this:

Sportsman- up to 350cc air cooled and under 16
Junior- open
Intermediate- open
Pro- open

and then theres all the mini classes.

All of the results are posted online or at the track on the day of the event.

Thanks guys (and girls) for all the replys. im hopefully locking down a site now and im trying to build a data base of tracks and sanctions. if you see this and want to post your track, or series and include a site or info where i can contact them please do. also include any tracks that are not atv friendly, i have an idea about useing their info to. this goes for all kinda of racing, MX, TT, XC and oval. thanks
