Ok everyone. Whats the best carb for the 70 and 90 mod motored kasea? Kehien or OKO or Dellorto or Mikini? What size? Flat or round slide? Which is easier to tune and mantain? Which is cheapest but you get the most bang for you buck? Lets here it dont hold anything back.

wow, I figured there would be plenty of responses. We run a 24mm keihin and really like it. I would have liked to have tried a 20mm but we got a really good deal on this kit. I know some people jump right to a 28mm but end up having problems moving enough air through it. I would like to see dyno numbers from the same engine but different carbs. I know there are a bunch of variables you can put into it but a straight carb to carb number run would be nice.

hey Livin4rEAL

Where did you get your keihin carb at? Was it used? I cant seem to find em anywhere and I keep getting referred to Sudco for a Mikuni.

sudco carries the keihin carb, dealers get them relatively cheap in bulk.

I agree w/ Livin4real bigger isn't always better. we ran a 28 and went down to a 24 and 26 depending on the track. We get better throttle responce.

We currently run a 20mm RDslide kehein on our 70. We have great low to mid but gets flat up top. We run this of a pod filter because i cant seam to get it to run as good throw the air box. We are looking into a good 24mm. On our 90 we are going to try a 28 FTslide Kehien and work from there. Just wanted to see what everyone else is tring these days. So lets here MORE. Thanks everyone.

have either of you tried a 24mm and then checked the numbers?
A 28mm may run fine but you alot of people see more performance from a smaller one.

It all depends on the mods done to it. If you have a motor completely done up with port and polish go with a Keihin 28mm if you have a pretty much stock motor with just pipe go with 20mm -24mm and use either a UNI or K & N filter. I prefer UNI.
