I am looking for an aftermarket exhaust pipe that will improve the bottom to mid range on my YFZ 450. Which would be the best for this situation do you think? Thanks a lot for the help.

i think that for the yfz the top choices i would pick would be a Curtis Sparks Exhaust, Rossier Engineering the only thing i didn't like about the Sparks was its stainless steel header a titanium will get a bit more punch. And look into the shape of the header pipe.
Longer headers give more bottom-mid and shorter give more mid-top pull.

I did not know that about the headers. Very useful information!! Thanks.

If you want alot of bottom end buy a Pulsecharger, it makes alot of torque especially down low.

Bottom end pipes are TC and Nmotion but both are very loud. I have the Nmotion and I had the Sparks before that. The Nmotion def. has more bottom end and the quality is excellent

I've heard good things about the Dr. D pipe, gives good low end power while still being quiet. I have one coming in the mail and whenever it gets here and I get it slapped on I'll let everyone know how it works.

I've had a CT and a Yoshi, and the Yoshi is a little more powerful, it also sounds better and it's lighter because of the titanium and it clears the brake caliper so it doesn't break like the CT pipes do

Well the Dr. D slip-on arrived today, can't wait to try it out. I plan on doing the cam mod at the same time also, I have my YFZ half way apart right now so I figure I might as well get that over with too.

Im only selling it cause first, I try multiple pipes out, this is my fifth, and second its just a little loud for NJ riding.

I got the Dr. D slip-on put on and it's quite a difference from stock. It's louder than I expected, I'll be ordering the quiet core whenever I go back to work (back is out). It's definately a low-mid pipe, but it doesn't lose any top. I'm definately impressed with it and it's a good buy for the money.
