Yea wow, a local dealer got a ltr in, and when I went down there I had them run me a price and it came out to like $11,500.00 otd. They put an extra $2,000.00 for it being so popular right now, I think his words were " It has that extra $2,000.00 charge just because its the baddest thing out right now". Still even without that "baddest thing out" fee, $9,500.00 is pretty expensive, I think after seeing it (not riding it though) I would pay a good $8,500.00 for it. Anyone else get any quotes. BTW they allready sold one at that price and have a list of people who want to see this one.

I'd tell that dealer to bend over and spread em and then tell him where he could shove that WIDE quad for that price.

That's just pure GREED!

THAT'S JUST WRONG!

No doubt!!! Couldn't agree more. That's just ridiculous!!!

I'm paying $7756 OTD here in Utah. $2000 will buy plenty of aftermarket parts to make it a real bad machine ;)

My dealer here should be getting about 4 in any day now and not one of them is pre-sold yet. They told me today that they would be selling them for MSRP...no jacking up the price, I couldn't believe it and I can't wait to get one, just as soon as my 4 x 4 quads sell.

That dealership should be closed down by the BBB. I know this quad is popular, but that's just plain out greedy price gouging. You can buy a brand new 1000 streetbike for that much!

Somebody is a moron for paying that much. I don't care how "bad" it is. Especially when no one really knows how good it really is.:huh

its called supply and demand. how do you determine what something is worth? you find out how much someone is willing to pay for it. if they can get 20,000 for it, good for them, there is a sucker born every minute

You could go out and buy a yfz or 450r for half that price and dump $6000 into them and have a much better machine then the stock r450. That dealer is just plain stupid.

exactly, the dealer not going to be like, hey lets sell these things MSRP so everybody can have one. No. they are going to sell them for as much as possible so their bonuses get a little bigger.

You would have to be pretty stupid or pretty rich to spend that much money on a quad that will only resale for half (if you are lucky) of what you paid for it......that's just rediculous. Fortunately, I have patience.......I can always wait a bit after the newest machines come out - even with my YFZ I waited till the prices were normal before I dumped my money down........

It is not against the law to sell it that high. If some moron(IMO) is willing to pay it,then that salesman probably made a pretty nice commission.
It is not against the law to be a moron either!

My Dad always told me... "Anytime you get in a hurry, you lose money" This holds true whether you are buying or selling.

I have yet to pay MSRP(manufacturers SUGGESTED retail price),for a quad or a bike. I always strike up a deal or I don't buy.

I don't NEED any toy that bad.

Seems like you guys dont understand. Think beyond the price, it's all a game of supply and demand. There is a huge demand for the ltr450 everyone wants to buy one and there's not alot to sell. So this means that people will pay high prices beyond the sticker for the ltr450. let's face it everyone is a "sucker." This world wont be going the way it is without these so call "suckers."

If someone's dumb enough to pay that much for one, then it's their own damn fault. And the dealership still deserves to be ***** slapped for pulling that nonsense.

USA Motorsports was THAT high??

Desert Motorsports in Scottsdale [same owner] offered me the one on the floor for $8100 OTD.

I told him I'll wait until it get's hot and somebody has to dump theirs for whatever reason.

You know that a R450 with $1500 of extras [pipe, paddles, etc...] will be in the Trader for under $6500 by August. I think I'll order me a used one like that.;)

Yea when I bought my YFZ, USA told me like 6800.00 for a stock one and I ended up going to Metro which is the same owner also and got it for 6200.00 otd. Id have to say I like going to Apache better than anyone of the other shops in AZ.

A local Dealer is letting them go for over mid 6's. About $6,800 I think but not sure on the exact price. If the Dealer sells alot of units, He will get a kick back, like a bonus. So all the over pricing is unesasary!!! PEOPLE! JUST DON'T BUY IT FROM THEM! There will be plenty to go around soon enough. Let the rich boys find out the flaws first! LOL!:p You can't even race them without nerfbars! and the wait on them alone wil be forever! at over $200 a pop probably! So bust out the vasaline!

Wow that's Harley Davidson-like price gouging going on there. Except in this case you don't get overpriced and underpowered slow piece of junk. ;) You can get the LT-R450s for less than the MSRP. A dealer here in PA is selling them for something like $6,899. Look around and you'll fine a deal.
