In all of the magizines that i have read say that a 300ex is the slowet out of the bunch but my freinds and i have taken all of these quads and raced them and the 300 ex wins in every drag race and trail run the warrior jumps out the fastest and the blaser stays just behind and the mojave just is slow. then we took a stock 300 against a blaster that has reeds jet kit and exhaust and it runs with the 300 till it hits 6th gear and it just looses power like the warrior. then we upgraded the 300 with new gearing exhaust jet kit and new tires and striped every thing that made it heavy and none of the other quads could touch it. It was running 71-72 miles and hour with a stock engine in the sand. So we had to try it against a stock 400ex and the 300 barely beat it . but then as soon as you upgrade the exhaust or jet out the 400 it just smokes the 300 ex. does any body else have a 300ex that can do this or is mine just a freak quad compared to the ones they teast in the mag that only do 50mph. Also can anybody elses 300 do a good roost in first because mine can ,it must be the shreddars on it are two wide (2o by 11 by 9).

my 250x will make a nice roost in 1st, but i dont think mine will take a 400ex.....never really raced anything after teh engine rebuild, except an old threewheeler, but im pretty sure something has to be wrong w/ that 400 that it is losing. just my $.02, i think in pretty right, but if im wrong, feel free to correct me

Warrior is faster in a straight line, and has higher top end than a 300ex due to no rev limit.

Blaster is damn near equal the the 300.

Mohave.. not sure... never ridden around them much.

400ex.. should SMOKE a stock motor (pipe/filter/rejet) 300ex.

The blaster is pretty close but in a straight drag the blaster and warrior still loose every time even with the riders swiched each time.

sorry to say the only way we could get the warrior to when was to short shift the 300.

the 400ex we raced was running fine because it did the same as the others we raced it with.

We have also raced the new 350 rapter againts the 300 and they were about dead even must be the weight loss on the new model.

blaster 65 mph

Warrior 68-69 mph

300ex 71-72 mph

400ex( stock ) 71 -72 mph

z400 (stock) 75-76 mph:D

I'm sorry but a stock 300ex tops out at 55mph with the stock rev limit, 22" tires and 13/38 gearing.

The only way you can get more top end is to switch out the sprockets and/or up the rev limit.

Also with 20's on it and stock gearing & rev limit, you'll be stuck at 50mph.

If your not running a stock or pipe/filter 300ex.. then you're not comparing apples to apples. I smoke all near stock blasters, warriors, trailblazers, etc.. but that's not a fair comparison since I probably have 15k in my quad (including original price).

In order for you to hit 71mph you'd need a 9600rpm rev limit, and 14/38 gearing on your 20" tires.

correct, blaster will just usually edge it, it has a good top end. the warrior just pulls away cause it has no damn limiter lol, never ridden a mojave but it should be very close in there aswell.

warrior winning it by about a quad length

mojave,300ex and blaster tieing or either one of them 3 should be edging out in front but not by much,

and by the way a 300ex aint gonna hit 71-72 stock a 400ex doesnt even hit that stock

All of those speeds are WAY off. Do you realize that you are showing Z400s going faster than 450s?

Dude you need to lay off of the "Home Grown" before you go riding your ATV!

if your 300ex does 71 mph and you think its light for a quad .... Then my 250r goes 140mph....:D

The 450's go 80 mph thats what the honda and yamaha shop told us.

very close to an rm 125:)

we are just going by what are duel purpose bike and radar gun are saying.

do not know what a 250r does but it is friggin fast in after market and the only thing that could beat it was my rm 125 '05 with v-force reeds.

Yea those results were quite a bit off, i own a blaster and a 300 and have owned a warrior. stock for stock a warrior should win pretty easily when it comes to topend, and when racing the blaster vs the 300 the blaster always beats it but just barely, until we added the pipe and filter and correct jetting, now the blaster blows the 300ex away quite easily. there is also no way that a stock 300 will ever win against any kind of 400. as for the blaster and warrior loosing top-end power...could it be due to jetting issues

BTW, it is faster than a 125.... sorry to break it to you, I have killed modded 125's on my 450r. Those speeds ARE off.

IF your 450 only does 70 mph how in the heck do you think you could beat a rm 125:confused:

we have a street bike that we ran against the rm and held the srteet bike at 75 mph and the rm just kept pulling away?

have you ever your self tested the speed of your bike or are you going by what the guys in the mag are payed to say.

In the 70 MPH range, not 70 MPH. I would say mid-high 70s. How do I know I could beat a RM125? Because I raced one. Heck, I ran with a modded 250... though mine is also modded. What I am saying is that your speeds are off, and your ratings on the 125s are high.............

I can smeel the Bull SH*T off this one. Ive seen 300ex's outrun 400's but they were heavily modded. Im talkin heavily bored and stroked. But they didnt win by a whole lot, just a couple of quad lenghts. now a stock 300ex motor with pipe aganst a 400ex, and the 300ex winning now thats BULL SH*T. not in a million years.

YOU GUYS SMELL THAT TOO???:huh

yea I can smell it too, maybe even more so, since I'm closer here in MO!
