91 250x piston compression?
I am rebuilding my 250x and the only piston I found was a Wiseco Piston Kit Standard - 1991 Honda TRX 250X FOURTRAX Part# 160301 from RM they say this is a 12:1 compression piston I don't want to run race gas is this the wrong piston? Wiseco says that this is the only piston compression they make for this model. Should I look at another piston or will this one work?

Please help...

you can get a Honda piston in oversizes, or Pro-X makes a standard compression piston. or your could go with an 11:1 piston for a 300ex, i think they are teh same otehr than comp ratio but you may want a second opinion.

I think the pistons are slightly different between the 250X and 300EX.

I know that Arias use to make an 11:1 piston for the 250x. It was only available in the larger sizes, like 76mm and above, they didn't make them for the first few overbores. However, I don't know if they still make them.

you wont need to run race gas with the 250x 12to 1 piston.i did one for a guy last year and its been fine ever since.i told him to run premium but i know hes running regular because hes a tight wad:) your probably only getting less than 11 to 1 actual compression anyhow
