Just bought 450r shocks for my 400ex and am wondering how to set the adjustments? Is the "H" for hard? and the "S" for soft? Then what about the bottom side? Is there a good place to start? Not sure what the factory set them at? Honda wants $21.OO for a manual.

bottom screw is rebound, turn right (H=Harder) and the shock will come up slower.

top screw is compression, turn right it gets harder to push down.

rings on top of shock is preload (ride height adjust) and going up un the rings will lower bike but take more tension off spring.

hope this helps a little.

So if my problem was the bike bouncing back up after a big jump then go to the "H"? and Is that starting from all the way left?
