Alright guys I’m ready to order an ESR bore kit for my 86 250r but I need some advice. A friend of mine rode a 310 with a stroker kit and he said it was fast as hell it beats his friends 450r with the 480 kit and cam. How would this motor compare to a 330 kit? I believe I saw a hot cam 250r +4mm crank are these any good?

you dont stroke a 310, it was probley a long rod motor, with a 310 kit, but with the right setup a 310 is fast as any 450 IMO, i love mine, its a ESR 310 with cr250 ign. vforce reeds, 38 mm AS carb, trx5 exaust. eats 450's by at least a bike leanth. all day

Actually, there is a 4mm stroker crank that can be used with the 310 kits. I have seen the HotRod long rod plus stroker crank on Ebay many times. '86 motors will need a spacer plate to use this crank. I am still debating on buying this setup since I own a 310 that has many bores left.

those stroked cranks arent as reliable, buy a oem crank and go with a 330........
