Info please!!!!

I had a bolt in the one-way bearing for the starter gear come out on the flywheel. The bolt got into the stator windings and pulled some of them loose. Will this keep it from firing?? I fixed the bolt problem, but have not installed the new stator yet, and it won't fire up.

Any input???:confused:

I bought a new stator for $24. I was just currious if this would keep it from firing.

The sadering (sp?) on those wires isn't the best. You may have tugged on them to hard and one came too lose and broke. Just replace the new stator and see what happens, then come back and reply.

I know when mine started coming loose it was missing & would die. I don't have the scehmatic by me to see how its wired. My guess is when the windings get shorted its killing your spark.

Make sure you replace all 6 socket cap-screws torque & loctite them. I have an extra 6 high grade screws if you want me to send them to you. No charge.


$24 for the stator, you got a good deal.

I bought the stator from a guy on ebay. He said he would stand by it, and that it came from a running "04 that they parted out.:)
