I need a quality tire/rim sand tire combo, but price is a factor. I dont go to dunes often, but i feel i have to have sand tires when i do go... Also, i'm curious becuz whenever i look up sand tires, theres virtuallly none in a 9inch rim, how do i know if larger/smaller rims will fit my quad? Any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks

Holeshot and sand= No good... If you still want to trail ride a little bit and go to the funes get a mud tire like blackwaters or something... If not then get a straight paddle tire(every one has there favorite)... I reccomend using the stock rims or .125 rims cuz sand is not hard on your rims...

get gbc sand sharks mounted on douglas .160 rims that what i run and they work great and sand sharks are the cheapest v-blades you can get them out of rocky mountain atv for 150 (20*11*8) new mounted and ready to run

screw the sand sharks my friend has them and my stock radials womp all over them gbc's are a waste of money the stockers are awesome for playing around front and back but if you want a paddle tire get the skat traks for the extra money they weigh a 1\4 of the weight of sand sharks and devils

I picked up a set of Gecko's on Douglas .160's and used them at the dunes last weekend. I have never used sand tires before, but I think these worked damn good.

skat strac or stu is the only way to go, get at least .160 wheels.

If you end up going more often and you get a little more horsepower grab a set of these: 9 paddle extreme haulers on 10 inch rim. Any rim with a honda bolt pattern will fit on your quad.

how do you like the extreme grips compared to reg. haulers. i have to run at least 8psi of tire pressure and it feels like i am runnin dirt tires with my haulers.

Why do you have to run so much air dude? You might wanna be careful with that much air pressure, I saw a dude explode a tire on a shee with about 7 PSI in it. I went from worn out 8 paddle regs to 9 paddle extremes...its a total different bike. It outruns the shee(on 8 paddle haulers) now. heh, it outruns about anything to tell you the truth. Some dudes were amazed that I was beating their alky 440's and 416's...lol I was on gas too...wish I still had that alky FCR41!

thanks for the info, i think i'll make the switch. if i run anything less then 8 i blow the tire off the beads jumping.
