Just curious, I could be imagining things here. Went from a 99 to 01 400 EX. Did Honda change the factory sprocket size's between those years? Sure seemed like it.

nope its the same through 2004

Yea they did change the sprokect size after '01. I was at the dealership today and we were looking in the book. When I come across what the difference is I will get back to you.

no, same gearing from 99 to 04, changed it in 05.

15 front 38 rear from the beginning to 05 not including... Thats what I get from my readings.
