I am starting a 426 11:1 with a stock carb. I already run tc exhaust and open air box with k&n filter. I was looking for any advice from anyone on their kit who is also running pump gas. Such as jetting, timing, and whether you had your head done with any port work or better valves and spring. Just looking for a few tips to help get the bugs out before I'm done. Thanks.

i have a 426 11:1. i run 93 pump fuel. my cam is a White Bros. all around grind. I like it much better than a hot cam. had great bottom but still puls hard on top. I have an HMF slip on, and the choke removed on the carb. i dont have any port work or calve work done, but it stilll runs great. i plan on rebuilding it soon and i will most likely get some porting done then. i love my 426, i think it is the best kit available. the quick revs of a 416 with the torque of a 440.

So is it still alot stronger than stock with that kit and no port work. Did you do anything to your timing.

yes it is alot stronger than stock. my timing is still stock as is my CDI. i usually dont ride at the rev limiter so had no real need for and aftermarket CDI to raise it.

main jet is a 178 and pilot is a 45. checked teh jetting and it is spot on for the weather right now. in the summer i lean it out a bit but not much. my valves are set a .005 and .006. which is about the same as stock.
