who else is seeing back flips on dirtbikes. i mean they have been doing them for years now and there just starting to do simple variations. i beleive they should really work on doing a real 360 and not that inverted backflip crap.... just needed to vent cuz watching the moto-x best trick contest sucked, there was nothing new.

Oh my the weakness... I thought the holy grab should have taken it... I muted it as soon as the commentary guys started talkin on how it's gonna take a flip to win  .....

Lets see you do a back flip buddy, you shouldn't complain unless you can actually do it

I was thinking the same thing. The back flips, no matter how much harder they are to pull they just look borring now. Even alot of the backflip combos. The holy man, and that kiss of death? variation, those were nice.

An undeflip and a super-man seat grab flip is a simple variation?

honda400exrox, no i cant do a backflip and no i wouldnt wanna try. i mean this is what these guys do for a living you would think they could progress the sport more. i mean as soon as the backflip came there really hasnt been any progression in the sport, all its been is backflip variations. the only person who has progressed the sport is pastrana.

yeah I actually took a nap during it got tired of all the backflips. My wife woke me up saying Holly chit to the Holly man seat grab,
Thats says something to me. 15 guys and 15 back flips gets a little boring

I like your thinking . Having sleds in there would be much more entertaining .

As for any Freestyle contest , I think they should have 2 categories . The 1st category being for best backflip .... the 2nd category being for best trick that's not a backflip .

It's seems that any freestyle contest that you watch now days , if you don't do a backflip , you don't win the competition . Like you can pull off the sickest trick combo out there and still get beat out by a backflip .

Mike

that would be a rock solid, the first picute alone is a holy man.

And for the sleds in X games, well, they are in the X-games. Sno-cross.

BTW the X-games are ghey

they need an entire sled freestyle course in the winter like they do for the bikes in the summer....that would be much funner to watch instead of just one jump

actually, dangle is right, doing a holyman and not grabbing the quad again until you get a gripful of seat is a holygrab. a rocksolid is a doublegrab then letting go of the seat :eek2:

^^^ what he said

Quads and Sleds for winter X;)

I wish

MXI and espn are stubborn people...they'll milk as much as they can out, and bring in a new act.....example quads and sleds....remember how lame all the old xgames were.....street louge, sky diving, ect...was cool for a while...then got stale....brought in new acts....our time will eventually come.....

Clearchannel finally realized what our potential is after our rave reviews from them.......baby steps people.....what we have done will lay the stepping stones for quad trends in the near future....it takes more than heelclickers and can cans to get there attention.....

Someone will come up with something new. I hope soon because with freestyle it gets boring fast without new tricks. It seems this year there wasn't much new stuff but I am happy to see some new people out front. I think deegan is a wimp and metzger is a baby. He couldn't take getting 6th with his crappy performance and was strutting around complaining to everyone.

Do they do that now? I know the trick is still nutty to pull, but using a tether is almost like cheating in a way. This is the first time i've ever seen one done with a safety tether

01-30-2006, 08:31 AM
I like it, half the people here that are complaning would not even hit a jump as big as they are and just try to land saftley, they are going up side down while doing a heel clicker and land it perfect. I think they are almost as far as they are gonna get , accept the double bf and the 360
