05 Trx Pipe on 06 Trx

I was at a dealer yesterday in phoenix and i noticed a white bros carbon pro full exhaust (white bros told me no pipes until feb for the 06 TRX) on a 06 TRX. I spoke with the parts guy and he indicated it was an 05 pipe and it fit perfectly, looked pretty good to me...anyone else heard of anything like that.

when i first got my 06, they said no pipes off an 05 would fit the 06. Not saying they wouldnt, just stating what my dealer said.

hey i had an ESR on my 05 TRX450R, i really liked it, especially how tight the bend on the head pipe, how do you like the one for the 06?

i love it, its an awesome pipe i put it on and a fmf jet kit and it made a great power gain. also sounds and looks great.

while you may be able to fit an 05 onto an 06, the engine works best with a pipe built for the 06. the changes to the engine require changes to the header to achieve the best performance.

we tried a full fmf pipe with powerbomb header when i first got mine, and it would mount up but it hit on 2 of the case bolts so i wouldnt reccomend it.

yes the reason you cant put the 05 pipes on the 06 is because the engine in the 06 was moved foward 9mm

yeah, i really like the performance and looks of the esr pipe, plus they have a really nice setup for the USFS approved spark arrestor, any other comments about the esr?

ya im ordering a anodized red clamp and end cap and also the end cap that has built in spark arrestor, I am also ordering the ESR Red shifter and brake pedal soon too :)

I just order the full titanium Yosh RS7 shipped to my door for $625!!!Cant beat that but i have to wait also but im sure it will be well worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i like the yoshi pipe but i dont know if you can get a spark arrestor for it...

im pretty sure you can get the white bros pipes already..my buddy got a carbon pro for his 06

The 05 pipes will fit on 06 but most require a bit of modifications. I have the hrc header and a dmc slip on. runs and sounds good
