xr400 motor

i was wondering what it would take to put a xr400 motor in a 300ex frame.

if neone has done it please give me some advice as to how hard it would be and what it would entail.

never have measured the height/width of one....but assuming it will fit in the frame all you would have to do is make some custom motor mounts and possibly make an exhaust bracket for the pipe. But the more I think about it I don't know if there's enough room on that frame for an oil tank and oil cooler along with the motor. Basically need to find out if all that will fit 1st

The XR engine is basically the same thing as a 400EX engine so it will fit, but I'm sure there will be some modifications of certain things, like possibly the swingarm and making sure there's clearance for the kickstart. I don't know what all goes into putting a 400 into a 300, I'm sure you might be able to find something by searching for it? I know some people have done it...
