Will it fit?

So i just bought a 38mm Mikuni TMX off of ebay, it's off of a 03 CR250. Does anybody run one of these without an adapter for the airbox, like ESR sells. How hard is it to fit? What kind of throttle cable will I need, will the stock one work?

I have the 38mm Mikuni TMX carb on my ESR310 motor, but I also have the adapter on the carb. I am not sure you will be able to get the stock air boot to fit without the adapter, but it may be possible if you heat the boot up somewhat to make it more flexible. As far as the throttle cable goes, I believe you will need to buy a new one (I did anyway). I don't think they are that expensive, and you can get them from ESR.

If you are deadset on running the 38 you will have to heat up your boot and strech it. I am running a 40mm to my 330 and it was so hard to put on that I just chunked it and got the Airbox Elimnator kit from ESR. Works great.
