I have seen the COBRA EXHAUST (I think including headers) for cheap, I'm not looking for much power gains, mainly for appearence. this is just an idea im throwing around.

-> What's your input on these mufflers? Are they friggin loud? I don't want to spend 500+ on a slip on thats going to whale on anyones eardrums, the last thing I want is an impounded bike, or someone really pissed off and to lose where we ride.

I am looking at the Q Series. This is just an idea.

Also does anyone else agree the stock honda muffler is one heavy son of a blank?

NOTE: PLEASE REFRAIN FROM ANY NEGATIVE COMMENTS.

yea stocker is rele heavy. the cobra is very loud and id recomend the fmf over that. also, i got my LRD slip on for $350 and it comes with a quiet core insert that keeps it at like 95db or sumthing. and it gives great power gains.

www.hmfengineering.com you can buy the QSR1 which is a "quiet" exhaust or the HMF sport which is really nice but it is like 103dbs (you can buy an additional quiet core for it though and that is only $20)

go to www.motosport.com to buy these pipes because you can buy them cheaper off of here than you would on HMF. i am positive these pipes will give you more performance than the cobra. as will the LRD that Wanksta mentioned. the Q from HMF is another great choice! all of those pipes are on the motosport website. go check it out! good luck!

cobra pipes are cheap for a reason. they are very loud! i would not suggest buying one to anyone. i say get an HMF or the FMF. ihave a sport series HMF and it is loud, but not offensivley loud. i also have a quiet core and it helps out if i ride in residential areas. if you order directly from HMF and ask for teh quiet core the should include one for free, atleast they did mine anyway.

i'd have to say get something that is going to last you more then a summer. i'd go with a hmf or a big gun exhaust system. i got my big gun exo x full system for 442.00$ and its not that loud.

Had fmf, dg, and cobra and cobra is the best for the price and holds up well, don't get it though if your worried about being too loud
Mfgsupply Cobra brushed satin aluminum exhaust with headpipe $117.99 (http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/AL-1055.html) the picture just shows the tailpipe but it does come with a new headpipe too, there is also a polished cobra jet system on this site for $135.99

Don't get a cobra, they are garbage, I had one on my 200x, very loud and didn't seam like it did much. I put a sparky spark arrester on the back and it actually performed better with it and wasn't so horrible sounding. I like supertrapp systems, I have a 350x supertrapp system on my 200x now(I cut back the head pipe so it fits), I like how it sounds and works. you can add and remove disc for what type of riding you are doing, I believe you can get a open end cap for racing and it holds up very well

cobra exhaust I have had on 3 of my quadsports, the yellow lt orginally had supertrapp exhaust which was rusted out and falling apart very small in diameter and sounded like crap, haven't had any trouble with cobra
