426ex vs 250r?

how good does the a 426ex stack up against a 250r. ( the rider that is on the 426ex is a little bit better than the 250r)

i know one thing....back in summer when mine was sstock besides the pipe mine could beat a 250r until bout 4th tapped, the rider on the 250 was an ok rider at best.

well you figure the 426 is going to be built , so its gonna have like 36-38 hp ( i think ) The 250r built as well for half the price is going to have about 46-50 .... And weighs 40 or so pounds less ....

how would it stack up against 450s in MX races?

it wouldnt ....

IF the 450 was even slightly built it would be no contest.
However if the rider on the 400 is superior it could be done i suppose .

they won't stack well at all...would be best if they were in crates. Then they would stack very easily :blah:

OOOHHHHHHH.....did u mean racing against each other, well depends on what type of racing your doing and what mods the 250r has

the 250r i ment just in a drag and on a track. i was just woundering about the 450rs lol

in a drag race....the 250r will win if it is built once it gets in the powerband.....

on the track it is all rider.....unless your riding pro...then 450 all the way...

as far as 426 against 250r...last summer flattracking at the fair I wore out the 250r's on my 426. But that could have been all setup difference, rider difference, gearing difference. Drag racing, XC racing, or MX racing there's really no fair comparison in my opinion. You would need 2 machines built that are putting out similar horsepower, have similar gearing for speed then have the same rider ride both machines and then compare lap times or drag times. Thats really the only fair way to do it. This is another apples vs. oranges thread. Just too many variations to compare the 2 in my opinion :ermm:
