swinger mod = ? chain length

I am moding a 250r swinger to work on my 400ex...

And its going to work, darn it!!!

Anyway, I ordered a stock length chain mid summer, but have not used it yet.
at the end of summer, my stock 400ex swinger exploded.

Now, I need to know if the stock length chain for the 400ex should work or not?

(Its not close enough to being done to tell if it will work or not.)
