Where do I get new plastics for a CBR?

Who makes them? What shop is cheapest? Ect ect.

I have a friend who just bought a CBR, but it needs new plastics. Being the handy know-it-all that I am, I told her that I would find some good places and/or brands. I don't know the size or year yet, but that shouldn't matter, should it? If JoeShmosCBRplastics.com is the best place to buy, it will be the best regardless of what model I'm actually looking for, right?


I have an intrest in this bike. I have a feeling it isn't going to cure all her emotional problems like she thinks it will. I fully expect this bike to be in my garage within 6 months. :devil:

Try chapparal i know for a fact that they carry street bike body components.

Ebay or bike forum classifieds would be my first stop.

Prices of new stuff is EXPENSIVE.

Private party or Salvage could save a lot of bucks for sure.

There are also aftermarket places that make race bodywork and such which is a lot cheaper but not sure if it bolts up to factory. www.sharkskinz.com is one place that pops into my head.

A site with some good microfiche and decent prices (awesome deal on tires) is www.ronayers.com .

just be careful theres a ton of CBRs...

theres the CBR F3, CBRF4i, CBR RR in the 600s..

theres the 900 the 929 the 954 and the 1000 and 1100XXX in the bigger ones

Thanks, Tammy. I've never heard of Dennis Kirk. Are they new?

Say, I'm also looking for OEM parts, but I need the schematics, and I'm looking to put a CR250 engine into a 400EX frame. Do you know anyplace like this, some sort of servicing-honda type shop?

Yeah you are correct, I was going off the top of my head....I think everything else is correct though ?
