nothing is required but I would go with a bigger carb / cams/ and a full exhaust for maximum power gains.

Get a bigger carb and aftermarket cams first. You will probably want to upgrade to a Heavy Duty DID cam chain and Drze Valve springs just for reliability. By 440 kit im assuming you mean the Wiseco? Dont go with the wiseco, not a very good kit. About $200 for the parts and another $200 or so for boring. The sleeves are unreliable and because they are made of steel they take longer to heat and stay heated longer than your cylinder which can lead to some warping

I have another brand new 4x5 heavy duty cam chain still in its box I will sell for $75 shipped. I bought two and was planning on keeping one as a spare but they seem to hold up so I dont need a spare cam chain. Email me at ltz400rider118@yahoo.com if interested.
