not my quad but i would stop the bleeding now and sell it and get a bigger quad...Just because The next step up will give you the power you are trying to buy now, and then you could modify that when you need more...or are you model specific for a reason?just my .02

there is no way a 300ex with a pipe will beat a 400ex but im with tg413 buy a bigger quad i have poured lots of cash in mine and i can only beat 400s out on the track the 450s blow right by me save your self the money and tears and buy a bigger quad pour your money into it

Why do people keep bringing up racing a 400EX? Did he ask if would? Did he say he could? He wants to know where to go after the usual bolt on stuff.

Thank you CBF2

Its always gotta be a "my bike is better than your bike" race with some people.

To answer the question, I made the following easy mods with great success:

Jet kit
Uni Filter and airbox lid removal
FMF Slip on

Otherwise, the engine is stock.
Also- Play with the rear tire size- for example, if you want holeshot and quicker hard accelleration, go with 18 inch rear tires. If you want a little more top end (and versatility), go with 21s or 22s

Those quick easy mods really "woke up" the bike, and all less than 400 bucks. My 300ex is the smallest cc bike in my riding group, and I am 6-1, 210 lbs. On the trails and out at our sand pit, I am right there with everyone else. Not every ride has to be a freakin' drag race.

amen bro! everyone with 400exs say "well your 300 is weak dont bother" but my buddies with 400s know that i can whoop them in the trails with the same mods pipe, filter, cam, we're all equal until we hit 5th, the only one that can beat me and everyone else in the trails is nick on his 440... but that's different, my point being, a piped filtered cammed 300 can keep up with a 400 with the same mods, i also say it's 50 bike 50 rider... i'm not a good rider but i know that my 300 is there to help me out

for the money you cant beat porting the 300. it is the same head used on the 250x, and most people said it was really small ports even for the 250. and for the guys that say they beat 400s on their 300exs im with ya. there are acouple people in my neighbor hood that are pissed at me for being able to do jumps on it that they cant do and their yfz's and 450r's. its all about the rider

pardon my typo, i might add that other than my post lacking a coma there is nothing wrong with the gramar... spell check is ur friend

:)

as long as u can read it which u obviously could. lets not focus on the wording/spelling and instead focus on the message

Maybe some folks are not so humble after all. The message, or lack thereof, was exactly what I was addressing.

The whole theme is that you're missing the point. He was not inquiring what a baddass we all are on our 300s, or who we can "smoke". We all got ever that at about 13 years old.

He POLITELY asked for mod suggestions, which I and some others gave. He did not ask what he could beat, nor was he antagonistic about how fast or good of a rider he is.
