Hey I have an 02 400ex and was wondering if its possible to put on the 06 400ex plastics if i purchase the new headlight? Please let me know. Thanks Richard

Yeah, if you get the new front plastics then you would be able to mount that headlight as well.

It doesn't. He asked a question so I answered it. Seemed like he liked the new 450R headlight style so if you want that, then you'll have to get the new style front plastics as well. Obviously the headlight is not necessary to make it all work, you can run without it.

Ok so it can run with the lights on aswell?

If you want to run the new style 450R headlight, then you will also need the new 05-06 front plastics.

He wants the 05-06 plastics probably because he likes the 450r light. the light wont fit on a old style 400

Holt crap! are you guys saying that the 06 400ex plastic/headlight is a direct bolt-up to the previous body style 400ex, 99-on? Ive been trying to find out this for awhile. I want some!

Well, yeah. The brackets for the 06 might be different from the old style plastic but it's still the same frame. Just get the plastics, bracketry, and headlights and your good! :)
