I Think Im Getting An '06 450R!

Hi guys. I am 16 and have been riding since i was 7 a little bit playing around on stuff. i havent been really into riding for a really long time. I have an 03 blaster with pipe and reeds... a wek ago my friend finnaly talked me into going riding with him. we went to a big gravel pit with huge (to me) hills and some nice jump to hit. I WAS FREAKIN HOOKED!!!!!!! it was SOOO much fun. it was my first time ever being anywhere big to ride! we go pretty much every week now. he let me ride his 400ex with pipe and filter. MAN what a jump up from the blaster!!! i neevr got tired of it! loved the power, feel, and low end torque. I just have to get a new quad now, especially at 6'2" and 215lbs i need something bigger anyways, LOL. i am seriously considering getting a 06 450r. Im getting a job here at auto zone or advance auto very soon and when i do my parents said they would take out a loan for me and ill make the payments to them. we figuired it out and it would be 200 a month for 36 months.... Do you think the 450r will make me a good qaud for trials and dunes and jump and prolly some track riding? how will it feel going from the blaster to it? :D should i get the electric or kick start? any suggestions PLEASE! the 450r is a great all around quad!!!! Get one!! Get one with kick start. Electric start just adds weight and its fairly easy to kick em anyways. It wont even kick back on oyu

Im sorry but my 06 ER is the ****. I wouldnt give it up for the world unless i was a true mx racer and needed the 5 lbs...but hell, you could always go on a diet and have the nice pushy push button...lol

I'm with you on this one. I would love to see the lap times of a pro on a kick start and estart. I would bet there would be no difference at all.

the 06 450r kicks ***** and now that i got the hrc kit with it it feels like a brand new bike compard to the stock 06

honda sells the kit. its a cam, new lid, header and jet kit for everything. makes it rip. also if you think the 400ex is fast your gonna think it feels like your blaster after you ride a 450r.

YEA! THATS WHAT I WANNA HEAR!!! i think id rather get one without the HRC kit tho, save and get a better cam, lid, and pipe/silenceri was looking into Big Gun, what the diff. between the r the x etc...? and down HMF flow better and how does the sound compare?!!?! THANKS!!!

HMF has a good exhuast setup, you might look at Curtis Sparks Racing as well, very good system

i like the 05 but the 06 is nice
i think you will do fine moveing up to the 450 from the 200
just hold on and keep it wide open LOl JK be safe and have fun

You will love the R, i went from my kawasaki mojave to my 05 and i just could not get over the difference in power it was amazing, even when compared to my brothers KFX i was amazed. As far as the big gun goes i think the x is for quads, and the r is for bikes.

I am getting a R too iw ant the 04 cause it is cheaper and i dont wanna mess with the new e start and i dont ahve 6500 to spend when i can pick up a 04 for 4500 or less but ic ant wait to get mine
