I was looking at this kit because it so cheap. So does anyone have experience with ryobi. Hows battery time quality and durability. This stuff is by no means going into my work truck but for small stuff around the house. Thanks for any help.

Cool, that whole kit is only 230 bucks. I would rather put the 230 towards a $700 dewalt kit if this stuff is crap. But if it works OK around the house great. Thanks for the help guys. Any more?

IMO dewalt is junk. ive had a few really bad experiences with them lately. i sent a drill off to get fixed and it came back full of black and decker parts.

Ryobi should be great if its just for around the house use.

My personal brand of choice is Porter Cable.

I think this stuff will be OK for the house. I have the porter cable sawzall (11 or 12 amp). That thing kicks ***. If the blade jams up it will yank your arms back and forth before it stops. I just want this for minor stuff. Normally I only need to make a couple of small cuts or drill small holes. Nothing worth going out to the truck for and forgetting to put the tools back in for the next day. Or taking out the extension cords to cut a small piece of wood.

It will work great for what you want.

I have the 18v kit I use on my work van.. I use it every day.

If I was a carpenter I wouldn't use it. the power is there but the battery life isn't.
