Tachometer question?

i'm lookin into gettin a tachometer for my truck thats in my sig. will i have to wire this up myself or is there a connection that is under the dash that i can jus plug it into? i've put on tach's before but all the tach's i've put on have been on little bit new car/trucks and they jus had a little plug in under the dash. the truck is also fuel injected.

No plugs that I know of. You need to find a PURPLE W/WHITE STRIPE wire coming out of the distributor or at the ecm. This will get you your tach signal. If you have any Q's, you can email me at googs@cox.net

most likely you have an HEI distributor ther is a plug in where you hook the tack into.
the other wires from the tack got to ground, power, and lights.
