pH is the measure of acidity or basicity. It runs on a scale of 0-14. 0 will be the most acidic liquids like the acid in your stomach, hydrochloric acid (HCl). Acidity will decrease moving onto things with a pH of 0-7 on the pH scale. Things with a pH of 7 will be completely neutral (human blood, tears). Moving from 7-14 on the pH scale, liquids will become more basic.
