taking off back shock...

I have to take off my back shock soon... i have a service manuel but i have to wait to get it back from a friend... will that have the procedure to take off my whole entire back shock in it? Is there any tricks or certain things i should now about getting it off and puttin it on?

loosen nut, take bolt out...

may want to have the back of the machine in the air, make things alot easier.

Taking off the airbox makes taking the top bolt out easier. But, it's not necessary.

Remove top shock bolt and nut, remove lower shock bolt and nut. Use two wrenches to do this of course. Also make sure the quad is on a stand when you do it, or your rear end will collapse on it self...not very pretty. And you may need a brass punch or extention and a hammer if the shock bolts don't want to come out. Clean and grease the shock bolts before reinstalling them.
