I do some hill climbing and I am seriously needing some more low end power. The obvious solution is to go down to a 14 tooth sprocket and go up the hill in second, but I was wondering if it would be possible to go up to a 16 tooth sprocket and go up in first gear. Has anyone ever tried this? I would like to know the results if someone has tried.:huh

I dont recommend a 16 tooth for hill climbing esp with a near stock motor--it will put a helluva stress on the motor just to get up a tough hill. Go with the 14 tooth--great for hills. You wont notice any bad points on hills--just a little less top end with 14 installed if on fast trails.

dont go w/ a 16 u lose alot of bottom end power especially w/ a stock engine 1st gear wont be fast enough for the hills either w/ a 16 tooth
