Hey im with you I dont know what bend of the handlebars to get either. I like how the stock bars feel but the looks are ugly. Iv tried pro taper fat bar CR high bend and they are to wide and low. When you ture the bars you can hardley reach the the side that is turned out, theyr just way to wide. So if anybody has an idea on what bend would be a good one for a quad let us know.

Yup. Go with CR Double Highs and they will suit you well if you like stock bar height. CR High bends are way too low, much lower than stock, unless you have an aftermarket extended stem to make up the difference.

I know exactly what you mean. CR Highs are indeed very low and wide. If you have a stock stem, then this means you're gonna be killing your lower back by having to be hunched over the handlebars.....very uncomfortable. I made the switch to the Mini High bend and I love them. Same amount of sweep as a CR High basically, but much much taller and about 1-2 inches less wide overall. Very comfortable bar for jumping, and aggressive stand-up riding.

Before: A lot lower and wider

After: Less wide, and much higher = more comfortable!

Mine, disregard everything I said above because dirtbikes and bar bends are completely different.
A CR High would be comfortable on that bike, but it is on the wide side. How comfortable you will be with a wider bar depends on how long your arms are. Also look into the SX bend by Tag and Pro Taper, this is a little taller than the CR High and slightly not as wide :)

Would what be the same as the dirtbike bends? Don't know what you are referring to.

If you mean the Mini High bend I use, then yes, it is a dirtbike bend :D

what i mean is for example

would a cr high be the same on both quad and dirtbike

Yeah, there is a difference. That's why I can use a bar intended for minis on a quad, completely different intentions. I just studied a lot of bar charts and measurements before I picked out my bend. I basically used the specs of the bars I was currently running as a baseline and then looked for one with more suitable specs on manufacturer's bar charts.

A CR High on a otherwise stock 400EX would be too low for the ergo's of a quad. A CR Double High, also intended for dirtbikes, has that added height with slightly more sweep so it will be close to stock height on a quad.

Now put those same CR Highs on a dirtbike, and it will feel more natural. Stock vs. Stock, the rider positioning on a quad and dirtbike will be completely different.

So just look at those charts and find what will fit you best by choosing what you do and don't like in a bar. It's more like fitting for shoes than anything else because everyone is built differently.

The ones i'm running now are Fly Aerotapered bars in the Mini bend (has nothing to do with Honda). I'm just running my old Tag bar pad b/c the Fly's didn't come with one.

Every manufacturer has different names for similar bends, and note that a CR High bend from Tag for example will be different than a CR High from ProTaper.

Tag calls the Mini bend the "Mini Works" bend. You can see how it compares to others on this chart: http://www.tagmetals.cc/mx/productdetails.php?id=t2bats

In the 1st pic of my quad, it has Tag T2's in the SX bend so you can see how different the mini bend is.

ProTaper calls it the Mini High bend and is the exact same height as their CR High bend so the next closest bend would be the Pastrana FMX bend.

A CR Double High is also a good bend from any company.
