I'm with ya. 35 years young and just bought an 06 450R last week. I'll be racing in the IATVHSS this year against other old people in the 30+ class. I think that I'm a better racer now than I was 10 years ago. It just takes longer for my body to recover after a race.

42 this year, married 16 years, 2 kids 11 & 8 that share an Eton 50 atv and a Honda 50R. I started riding in the early 80's on my first ride, a Honda 200M 3 wheeler. Bought a new 250X in 87 and raced GNCC's from 1987 - 1990. In 1990, I sold everything, got married, had kids and built a house. In 2003, I somehow got the bug again! Bought a used 400EX for my birthday just to ride around the house. Was racing local races 3 weeks later! Haven't stopped yet...I still race local H.S. and as many GNCC's as I can get to on a 2004 450R. I'll grow up one of these days...MAYBE!

34. married and one 6 month old daughter that is the best thing that happened to me. I do creek alot when I get out of bed after a hard day of riding.

01-24-2006, 10:12 AM
i'm 29 years old. been riding for 23 years (since i was 6). i started out on a highly modified ATC 70 three wheeler.
here is a list of the modifications:

1.) Removal of stock exhaust baffle.

Lol. Yep, that's it. But, it was loud. And, I thought it was the sh*t.

I'm now married with 2 kids. Got an 05 450r and looking to get a complete season of XC racing in this year, hopefully!!

Here is a list of ATV's we had at various times while growing up:

(1) Honda ATC 70
(1) Honda ATC 125
(1) Honda ATC 185
(1) Honda 200 SX
(1) Yamaha Tri-Z
(2) 1983 Honda ATC 250r
(1) 1984 Honda ATC 250r
(1) 1985 Honda ATC 250r
(2) 1985 Suzuki Quad Racer
(2) 1986 Honda TRX250R
(1) 1989 Honda TRX250R
(1) 1990 Honda 250x
(1) 1994 Honda 300ex

We didn't have these all at once. My father liked to wheel and deal. And, he loved to ride. He passed that trait on to my brother and I. From looking at the list, you can see why we can ride most anything!! lol.

Plan on doing the same this year. I make my living wrenching and selling parts for bikes, quads, sleds etc. I am also the president of a private MX track in northern Ohio. Can't wait for the snow to thaw.

I'm 41, married with 4 daughters, ages 17,9,7,3.
Been riding since 1979. Started on bikes and moved to quads when they started making the 250r.
Raced pro MX in the late 80's,then back down the ladder in the age group classes. Quit racing in early 95.
Still live to ride and ride to live.
I,ve been dragging the girls out to the woods with me to work on trails as soon as they could walk.
I can still take it to the young bucks on my trails and we do have a blast.
I will ride as long as I'm healthy, much to my wife's dismay!

Cool thread by the way!

41 now on a 2006 450r. I am a recreational jumper. I am the opposite of most I see at the tracks...I loaf between jumps but do my best to reach the landers...this is the opposite of kicking *** around the track until slamming the brakes on before a jump. Slower riders please stay to the right and consider yourself a lapper so stay out of the way and have some courtesy. Dumb arses usually ride like a bat out of hell between the jumps and either stop heading up to a jump or jump at an angle.

I enjoy good trail riding but it is getting harder and harder to find challenging, legal trails.

/Jon

I'm only 22 (almost 23), but I've been riding since I was 5. Started out with a JR50 and moved on up from there. Got into quads when I bought a Rincon for cheap (swampbuggy ran it over) and was thinking on buying a CRF, but I liked my 4-wheeler, so it stuck and I got the first 450r off the freight truck. I can still get my pops out on his CRF250R on the weekends for some riding time. He's 54 and he's been riding since his early 20's too :D

One common thing:

No matter the age, we're all just kids at heart! Wahhhhooo!

I'm 36, married 12 yrs, 1 beautiful daughter 2 years. I've been riding since I was a kid and love it just a much then and now. My weekend motivation comes when our riding club member who is 58 is up front of the pack with me banging bars WOT for the lead,... wahhhooooo!

Who said "this site was a bunch of kids"? I'd like to laugh in that persons face.
