cost depends on how far you want to go
wiseco piston kit=$140
Gaskets kit (Flessteel)=$28
Sleeve=$80
Install sleeve=$100
Bore=$50

Just for a basic kit, but you can go farther
Port job=$150-300
HD head studs=$60
Crank assembly=$300
Cam=$110-150
Exhaust=$400-800
HD cam chain=$40
Kibble white valves=$33 each $132 for all 4
+ labor if you aren't gonna do it yourself.

no need to wled the crank, waste of money on a single cylinder bike. Welding the crank keep it true on multiple cylinder bike, but on a single cylinder, it does nothing.

My crank twisted.. the welding would help prevent this in the future.

I wouldnt worry about doin the crank... mostly have to worry about it on banshees. very very slim chance you will have a crank problem. IMO

not sayin it could not happen, but it is highly doubtful. Something else would have to go wrong to cause it to twist.

Im confused, I thought I read on one of the kits you need to bore out the walls?

Is that legit or do you just replace the sleeve altogether.

I have been thinking about doing this, I wasnt worried about boring them out as I work in a machine shop, but now I am confused>

For someone who was going to do all the work themselves, what would a good amount to set aside for the build up be.

No need for TOP of the line, but no junk either--- $500-800

If winter ever sets in I am gonna tear the whole bike down and take care of all the little things, might just have to add in one big one too

for every 440 kit your actual cylinder must be bored to accept a larger sleeve, so yes you must bore the walls of the cylinder to make it a 440. as for prices, look at teh price list i posted earlier. that is just a rough guess, actuall cost is alittle lower at the shop i work at but i figured i would estimate high because different shops have different rates.
